Promoting pedagogy students’s scientific skills through critical thinking program

Introduction. Critical thinking is a highly-valued skill in higher education, even though there are few studies that demonstrate its effectiveness on scientific skills of pedagogy students. The purpose this study was to analyze the effect critical program (PENCRIT-RC) inquiry and probabilistic reasoning Method. method based quasi-experimental design, with control group pre- post-test application. participants were 95 students science mathematics from two Chilean universities. instruments used an scale adapted test, Lawson classroom test. Descriptive bivariated analisys (ancova) applied calculate data. Results. results showed statistically significant difference both variables for experimental group, large variable, moderate variable. Discussion Conclusion. It concluded effective development participants, but require more work professional training.
